SANAA, Jun 2 (YPA) – The Jordanian authorities referred on Wednesday two officials of the Kingdom to the State Security Court, according to Jordan News Agency report.
The report said Bassem Awadallah, the former head of the Royal Hashemite Court, and Sharif Hassan bin Zaid, who are detained pending investigations into what has become known as the “sedition case.”
“The State Security Court’s Prosecutor issued today a decision against the defendants, Sharif Hassan and Awadallah, to the Attorney General of the State Security Court to take the legal requirement.”
King Abdullah II, directed on April 22, the concerned officials in the country, to take the appropriate legal mechanisms to release the 16 detainees in the “sedition” case, except for Awadallah and Sharif Hassan, by a decision of the Jordanian State Security Court Prosecution.
