Zarif: Lifting the embargo on Iran is a legal and moral responsibility

SANAA, May 24 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has called the lifting of the US embargo on Iran is  legal and moral responsibility of the United States and should not be used as a negotiating tool.

Zarif tweeted in response to the US Secretary of State’s recent statements: “Anthony Blinkin; Lifting Trump’s sanctions is a legal and moral obligation. NOT negotiating leverage.

He criticized Trump’s ban on Iran and added: Didn’t work for Trump—won’t work for you. Release the Iranian people’s $Billions held hostage abroad due to US bullying.

Zarif concluded his tweet by saying “Trump’s legacy is past its expiration date. Drop it, President Joe Biden.”
