SANAA, May 22 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) on Saturday expects the continuation of hot and dry summer weather in the desert regions, and hot and humid in the coastal provinces and rain clouds in separate parts of the Western Highland Range during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its bulletin that the weather in the mountain highlands is clear to partly cloudy in general and relatively hot during the day, with the possibility of formation of cells from cumulonimbus rain clouds in separate parts of the western highlands during the afternoon and evening periods, while the weather is clear and hot during the day on the interior plateaus and the eastern parts of the mountainous highlands.
The bulletin center pointed out that the coastal areas will generally be hot in most coastal governorates, with high relative humidity and the appearance of low clouds on parts of the western and southern coasts.
The Meteorological Center warned citizens in the desert and coastal areas to take the necessary precautions from the hot weather, and advised them not to be exposed to direct sunlight during the noon hours.
The center also warned the residents of mountainous areas where rain is expected against being in the valleys and streams of torrents during and after the rains and the fishermen in the southern Socotra archipelago of sea turmoil and high waves.
