Pro-coalition military commander injured in Taiz

TAIZ, May 29 (YPA) – A military commander in the so-called the 170th Infantry Brigade loyal to Saudi-led coalition forces was wounded in an assassination targeted him in Taiz city, southwest Yemen, on Tuesday.

Colonel Abdo Mahyoub al-Yasiri along with his escort were seriously wounded when unknown gunmen opened fire on a car they were driving in the Al-Ojainat area of Taiz, according to local sources.

The sources said they were rushed to a nearby hospital in Taiz city, while reports confirmed that Al-Yasiri was transferred to a hospital in the southern port city of Aden.

The city of Taiz is witnessing security chaos and growing of assassinations carried out by extremist groups of Muslim Brotherhood in the city.
