Security forces in Aden prevent formation of trade union entity

ADEN, April 11 (YPA) – One of local officials in Aden city, south of Yemen, prevented the formation of a trade union entity, using force of arms.

According to sources, the director of the Aden Water Corporation, Mohammed Bakhbira, had summoned an armed group from the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias, to prevent the corporation’s workers and employees from holding a meeting.

The sources pointed out that the workers and employees of the union changed the headquarters of the meeting to the headquarters of the Union of Trade Union Workers in Al-Mualla area.
