Erdogan announces imposition of curfew throughout Turkey

ANKARA, March 30 (YPA) – The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday evening that a curfew will be imposed throughout the country between 9:00 pm and 5:00 am and will continue throughout the week.

The Turkish President confirmed that his country will tighten the restrictions of the Corona virus, amid the high number of infection cases.

A complete curfew in the states that fall into the red (most dangerous) category will be applied on Saturday and Sunday, Erdogan added.

He explained that mass Iftar and Suhoor events will not be organized throughout Turkey during the holy month of Ramadan.

In the same context, the number of vaccine doses that were injected in Turkey against the Corona virus exceeded the threshold of 15 million, within the framework of a vaccination campaign launched by the Ministry of Health at the beginning of this year.

According to the ministry’s data, the number of vaccinations for the first dose reached more than 8.5 million, and the second dose more than 6.6 million.
