Humanitarian Affairs Council calls for expanding WFP’s work

SANAA, March 23 (YPA) – Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdulmohsen Tawoos, on Tuesday stressed the need to expand the World Food Program (WFP)’s work according to the criteria of need and field priorities.

This came during his meeting with WFP’s Resident Representative in Sanaa, Laurent Bukera, Tawoos called for providing the needs of the beneficiaries in an integrated manner according to the quality standards and in a way that guarantees the alleviation of human suffering.

In the meeting, Bukera confirmed that the WFP is keen to provide services according to the criteria of need and within the framework of joint coordination and to achieve humanitarian goals.

The meeting discussed the field activities of the program and the absorption mechanism for the newly displaced and affected people.
