MARIB, March 20 (YPA) –A powerful explosion rocked the eastern Yemeni city of Marib on Friday, local sources said.
According to local sources, the explosion was heard at the Coalition’s Tadawin camp in the eastern of Marib province, causing massive fire
The Sources said that the explosion targeted gatherings of “ Alamaliqa forces” that have been deploying since three days on batches from the fronts of the west coast, to reinforce the collapsed coalition forces on the fronts of Marib city.
The sources confirmed, that the explosion occurred during the reception of “Hamdi Shukri” leader in Alamaliqa Brigades ” for the third batch of reinforcements, which reached the camp through the province of Lahj in southern Yemen.
Eyewitnesses pointed out that ambulances and fire engines seen rushing towards the camp, and at the same time the sources confirmed, that the explosion resulted in death and injuries among the soldiers of the Alamaliqa Brigades led by “Hamdi Shukri”.
Many of the reinforcements sent from the southern provinces to Marib city in recent days have been repeatedly targeted before they engage in the battles amid mutual accusations between coalition-armed factions.
