KABUL, March 18 (YPA) – Nine Afghan soldiers were killed on Wednesday evening when a military helicopter crashed in the southern province of Wardak.
Reuters quoted an Afghan Air Force source and a regional official as saying that the military helicopter was hit by a missile during takeoff.
Afghan television channel TOLOnews reported that the military helicopter crash occurred late Wednesday evening.
Afghan Defense Ministry confirmed that nine Special Forces were killed in the incident.
Earlier in the day, an explosion was reported on a bus carrying civil servants in the capital, Kabul, killing at least six people and injuring 12 others.
The explosion occurred in the morning , while local media reports said that employees of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology were on the bus.
