Over 10 tons of expired materials destroyed in Amran

AMRAN, March 18 (YPA) – The Public Works Office in Amran province on Wednesday destroyed more than 10 tons of expired foodstuffs unfit for human use.

Director of the Public Works Office, Yahya Al-Sa’ar, explained that the destroyed materials were confiscated through the office’s branches in the districts of Amran, Raida and Al-Jabal, and included milks, dates, cake, tahini and other foodstuffs.

Al-Sa’ar warned merchants against taking advantage of the coming of Ramadan month to display their expired goods, calling on citizens to cooperate in reporting these violations to hold the perpetrators accountable.
