US-led coalition reveals causes of explosions at Ain al-Assad Base

SANAA, March 09 (YPA) – A US coalition source revealed the fact that the Ain al-Assad base in western Iraq was targeted by missiles.

The source said in a statement to media: “The reports that The Ain al-Assad base was targeted by missiles are not true”, adding, “the sounds of explosions are caused by training and weapons inspections”.

Earlier on Monday evening, media reports reported that the Ain al-Assad base in western Iraq had been targeted with missiles.

Earlier, news circulated on social media sites and news websites in Iraq that explosions had been heard at the Ain al-Assad military base in Anbar province in western Iraq.
