President Al-Mashat congratulates Iran’s President on Islamic Revolution anniversary

SANAA, Feb. 10 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Wednesday sent a congratulatory cable to President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani.

In the cable, Al-Mashat expressed his warmest congratulations to Rouhani on the occasion of the brotherly Iranian people’s celebrations of the 42nd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

The anniversary of the Islamic Revolution is celebrated on 22 Bahman, which is the 11th month in the Iranian calendar, equivalent to 11 February. It commemorates the protests that led to the downfall of the Pahlavi dynasty in 1979, and the installation of the Islamic Revolutionary headed by Ayatollah Khomeini.
