Islah forces kidnap leading member of STC in Shabwa

SHABWA, Feb. 09 (YPA) – The so-called “special forces” affiliated with Islah Party loyal to Saudi-led coalition kidnapped on Tuesday a leading member of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Shabwa province, east of Yemen.

The Islah forces raided the home of Abdulqader Al-Shebli, head of the youth and sports department in the STC branch in Habban district, and took him to its prisons in Ataq city, the provincial capital, local sources reported.

This comes after the Islah military campaign that created last week checkpoints at the exit of ‘Al-Aram’ area towards ‘Al-Khobar’ area in the Habban district, and the kidnapping of five citizens, including one of the “Shabwani Elite” recruits loyal to the UAE.
