Hadramout demands full independence
HADRAMOUT, Feb. 04 (YPA) – The so-called “Hadramout Tribes Alliance” in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, called on Thursday for the province’s complete independence from the southern provinces.
Head of the public relations department of the valley and desert districts, Sheikh Salem Ali bin Ajiyan Shahbal, called on the political and elite leaders and civil society organizations from the province to immediately declare the independence of Hadramout with full powers.
The Hadramout tribes’ alliance, loyal to Saudi Arabia, sent a message to the exiled “Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi”, demanding that he promptly declare the independence of Hadramout.
This comes after the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s President, Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, announced on Tuesday the normalization with the Zionist entity, and the opening of an Israeli embassy in Aden.
