MAHRA, Jan. 29 (YPA) – A sit-in committee in Mahra province affirmed on Friday its full preparations to foil all plots targeting the security and stability of the province.
A leader of the peaceful sit-in committee, Mohammad Barakat Samoud, said, “Any decisions to appoint issued by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) would be rejected and must bear the results.
Samoud warned Hadi’s government of parity” against targeting Mahra on the pretext of implementing the so-called “Riyadh Agreement signed between the STC and Islah Party.
He called on Abdullah bin Isa Al Afrar, one of the province’s sheikh, loyal to the Emirates, to stop his attempts to bring conflicts and turmoil into the province to threaten security and social peace among the Mahra tribes.
Samoud praised the stances of the free sons of Mahra and their steadfastness over the past years in the face of Saudi and Emirati ambitions, and thwarting of the plans targeting Mahra sons and their land.
