LAHJ, Jan. 10 (YPA) – Dozens of electricity corporation’s employees in Lahj province, south of Yemen, announced on Sunday a general strike for work.
The employees accused the governor of Lahj loyal to Islah party, Ahmed Abdullah Turki, of obstructing its duties and delaying workers’ dues.
They affirmed their rejection the intervention and attempts by the governor to target and destroy the corporation.
The head of the Union of Workers in the corporation, Faisal Sallom, said in press statements, “There are attempts to thwart the work of the corporation,” explaining that it does not have any revenues.”
