President Al-Mashat praises Health Ministry’s efforts to promote health sector

SANAA, Jan. 04 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Monday praised the efforts and reforms implemented by the Ministry of Public Health and Population to promote the health sector and improve the level of performance.

This came in the letter of President Al-Mashat conveyed by Director of the Presidential Office, Ahmed Hamed, at the end of the expanded consultative meeting of the leaders of the Ministry of Health.

President Al-Mashat also affirmed that the Ministry of Health will have all support, assistance, and powers, and the enforcement of any decision it deems appropriate for the general situation.

In his letter, the President directed the Ministry of Health to develop a general strategy for distributing pressure on hospitals, and defining a mechanism to reduce pressure on central hospitals.

He also directed to compel health facility managers to reduce administrative staff.

The President also called for opening pharmacies within every health facility within the ministry’s plans, with the aim of providing medicines to citizens at cost rates.
