Green peas, foodstuffs destroyed in Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, Dec. 28 (YPA) – The Yemeni Standards, Metrology and Quality Control Authority in Hodeidah destroyed 52 bags of green peas packed 50 kg and 994 cartons of biscuits with various types of dates and food supplements that unfit for human use and out-of-specification.

Deputy director of the Authority’s branch in the province, Eng. Ibrahim Ahmed al-Dawla, explained that the destruction came after completing all procedures in accordance with the law.

He pointed out that the destruction process comes within the framework of the office’s plan to protect the consumer and secure the supply stability of goods.
