Hadramout tribes call on UAE to open Al-Rayyan Airport

HADRAMOUT, Dec. 27 (YPA) – The people of Hadramout province on Saturday demanded the opening of Al-Rayyan International Airport, which has been controlled by the UAE forces since 2016.

Hadramout tribes, in a statement issued at a rhetorical festival held on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the so-called “Hadrami People’s Uprising” in the city of Mukalla, stressed the importance of re-opening the airport to humanitarian cases and travelers from the province.

The statement considered that the transformation of Al-Rayyan airport into a military base and a detention center by the UAE forces as disregard for the people of Hadramout, where thousands of patients are suffering in order to travel abroad.
