Iraq: Popular Mobilization Forces repel terrorist attack in Diyala

SANAA, Dec. 16 (YPA) – The Popular Mobilization Authority in Iraq announced that it thwarted an attack by ISIS militants in the district of Khanaqin in Diyala Governorate, east of the country.
The Information Directorate of the PMF stated in a statement on Thursday that the forces of the 110th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces, on Wednesday evening, thwarted an exposure to the remnants of the terrorist “ISIS” in the district of Khanaqin in Diyala province.
The statement added that the brigade engaged in clashes with ISIS terrorist elements, who attacked the village of Ahmed Taher, within the Diyala Province of the Popular Mobilization Forces.
