Coronavirus infections in Brazil exceed 7 million

SANAA, Dec. 17 (YPA) -The number of cases of new coronavirus (COVID-19) in Brazil has exceeded 7 million, the Brazilian Ministry of Health said Thursday.

According to ministry data, in the past 24 hours, 70,574 new infections have been recorded, and 936 people have died.

This brings the total number of infections  recorded in Brazil to 7 million, 40,608.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, 183,735 people have died. More than 6.1 million people have recovered.

Brazil currently ranks second in the world in terms of deaths from Coved-19, after only the United States, and third in confirmed cases, after the United States and India.
