Criminal gang arrested in Sanaa

SANAA, Dec. 6 (YPA) – Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Abdul Khaleq Al-Ajri, revealed on Sunday one of the most dangerous gang was arrested by the Yemeni security forces in the capital Sanaa.

Al-Ajri affirmed in a statement that the fierce clashes broke out between the gang ‘s members and the security services, which led to the arrest of the leader of the gang with its members and injury of two security men.

Brigadier General Al-Ajri stated that weapons and a number of stolen cars were found in the gang’s possession, noting that the gang militants confessed to smuggling more than 286 tons of narcotic substances.

He explained that the drug- smuggling gang was linked to Saudi and Emirati military leaders and mercenaries to oversee and facilitate the delivery of drugs inside Yemeni territories.
