SANAA, Nov. 11 (YPA) – Two people were killed and 38 others were injured in a bus accident on (Qusayr – Safaga) road in the Egyptian Red Sea Governorate.
The accident took place right after the short northern (ambush-point), where the bus tire exploded, causing the driver’s steering wheel to become misaligned and immediately the bus overturned, according to “Akhbar Al-Youm” website.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Red Sea, Tamer Mari, said that “two people were killed and 38 others were injured.”
Mari confirmed that all the injured were taken to Al-Qusayr Central Hospital for treatment.
A medical source confirmed that all the injuries are stable and light, most of them are various bruises and superficial scrapes, except for three critical cases, indicating that they may need to be transferred to Hurghada General Hospital, if necessary, according to the “Al-Bawaba” website.
A report received by the Red Sea Ambulance Operations Room stated that a bus belonging to a travel company between Al-Qusayr and Cairo had capsized on Qusayr-Safaga road, after its departure from Al-Qusayr towards Cairo.
