SANAA, Nov. 4 (YPA) – Prime Minister, Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor discussed on Wednesday with representative of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Yemen, Auke Lootsma, the program’s activities and projects.
During the meeting, the officials also discussed the joint activities in the agricultural and fisheries sectors, and providing the necessary equipment to benefit from solar energy for a vital projects and health centers the different provinces.
The meeting emphasized the importance of enhancing direct support provided through the Social Fund for Development and the Social Welfare Fund that contributes to alleviating the tragic humanitarian situation.
Bin Habtoor expressed his thanks for the support provided by the UNDP directly and indirectly, to a number of sectors related to the basic needs of the Yemeni people, calling for expanding the support to projects in the coming period due to the aggravation of the tragedy experienced by the Yemeni people as result of the continuing aggression and siege.
Meanwhile, Lutsma official affirmed The UNDP would exert more efforts to increase its support and fund new projects in a number of vital areas related to alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
