106 tons of foodstuffs destroyed in Sanaa

SANAA, Nov. 1 (YPA) – The Trade and Industry Office destroyed on Sunday 106 tons of spoiled and expired foodstuffs in Sanaa province.

The Director of Industry Office confirmed that the destruction operation was carried out in cooperation with the Public Prosecution office and formed 100 tons of cheese, five tons of juices and 230 yogurt cartons.

He also affirmed that the office’s keenness to continue the work of the field landing teams for monitoring, periodic and surprise inspections at stores, and foodstuff selling points in the districts.

He pointed out that controlling expired materials comes within the framework of the office’s plan to protect the consumer and secure the supply stability of goods.
