PM stresses importance of control activities of Ministry of Industry

SANAA, Nov. 1 (YPA) – Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, stressed on Sunday the importance of efforts and activities of the Ministry of Trade and Industry in the supervision and control areas.

This came during his meeting with Minister of Industry and Trade, Abdelwahab Yahya Al-Durrah, who briefed him on the results of his inspection visit to a number of industrial facilities in Hodeida province.

Dr. bin Habtoor directed the Ministry to strengthen its relations with the private sector so as to serve citizens and the national economy and to continue its monitoring activities on the markets to control any price manipulation and protect citizens from fraudulent goods.

At the meeting, the Minister of Industry explained that, during his visit to Hodeida, the work at the Industry Office and the Industrial Zone Office was re-launched, after it had been suspended as a result of the Saudi-led aggression coalition’s bombing of the neighboring buildings.

Al-Durrah touched upon the Ministry’s achievements related to its work plan within the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state, as well as its report of analyzing the current situation to start preparing the five-year plan 2020-2025.
