Saudi Arabia uses Al-Qaeda paper to consolidate its presence
MAHRA, Oct. 24 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia has used Al-Qaeda card to consolidate its military presence and take over Mahra province.
“Riyadh seeks to distort the province of Mahra to the international community by using the allegations of combating terrorism and extremism,” deputy chairman of the committee for peaceful sit-in in the province, Abboud Qamsit, said on Twitter on Saturday.
Qamsit denied the Saudi media reports that Al-Qaeda leader Khaled Batarfi visited the province and met with Sheikh Ali Al-Huraizi.
Saudi Arabia has recently spread propaganda about Batarfi’s visit to Mahra to meet Al-Huraizi, and has intensified its military moves over the past days to impose full control over the governorate.
