Multiple people killed in mass shooting in Oregon

SANAA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Multiple people were killed, including a suspect in a mass shooting in Salem, Oregon, county police chief said on Tuesday.

“The County Police Office has dealt with an incident involving the possibility of hostage-taking in a house southeast of Salem,” the Marion County Police Chief said in a statement, according to Reuters.

“A negotiator spoke with the suspect in order to rescue the hostages,” the statement said.

“There was shootings. Eventually, several people were killed during the incident, including the suspect.”

Oregon State Police are investigating the shooting and any deputies involved will be placed on administrative leave during the inquiry, the sheriff’s office said.
