Sanaa forces control most important mountains in Marib

MARIB, Sep. 27 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces and the popular committees managed on Sunday to clear the most important mountains overlooking the city of Marib and advance towards Saudi-led coalition forces’ camp in Sahn al-Jin area, northwestern of the city.

According to local sources, the army forces and popular committees had fought fierce battles against the coalition forces, Islah Party militia, and elements of “Al-Qaeda and ISIS” organizations, on the outskirts of the northwestern city of Marib, during which they were able to advance towards Madghal district and ‘Nakhlaa point and control the strategic mountain of ‘Dash Al-Khashab’ after the escape of the coalition forces from it.

The sources emphasized that the importance of the “Dash al-Khashab” mountain lies in the fact that it overlooks the city and the coalition forces’ camp in the Sahn al-Jin area, as the mountain is no more than 15 kilometers away from the government complex in the city of Marib.
