SANAA, Sept. 23 (YPA) – Al-Masirah TV channel on Wednesday published confidential documents some of them issued by the US Embassy in Sana’a and another obtained by the National Security Agency pre- September 21st revolution.
Documents issued by the US Embassy before the revolution, including orders from former Ambassador Gerald Fierstein, to the presidency to transfer so-called “counterterrorism units” from the ministry of Interior to the defense.
The documents also included US orders to limit symbolic units to be security forces for Yemen’s land and sea borders.
Moreover, documents issued by the US Embassy prior to the revolution quickly to make a presidential decision to change a number of military commanders in various positions, including a new commander of special operations forces, a deputy, and a deputy chief of general staff.
Furthermore, documents released by the national security apparatus of the former regime revealed the continued destruction of air defense systems, Strela and Sam missiles, pointing out that this was coordinated and supervised by the United States.
Documents released showed that the US had directed its activity in the course of a specific in specific tracks that serve the US national security interests without regard to Yemen’s interests.
