Hodeidah’s local council discusses establishing new power plant of 1,000 MW

HODEIDAH, Sep. 23 (YPA) – Acting Governor of Hodeidah province Mohammed Quhim chaired on Tuesday a meeting to discuss the allocation of land for establishing a new power plant with a capacity of 1,000 megawatts in the province.

The meeting, which included Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy Abdul-Ghani Al-Madani, touched on the measures taken regarding allocating a plot of land for the coal-fired power plant project in the province on an area of 16 million square meters.
