FM meets outgoing WFP representative

SANAA, Sep. 15 (YPA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisham Sharaf Abdullah, met on Tuesday the outgoing representative of the World Food Program (WFP), Ali Reda, in Yemen.

At the meeting, the minister praised the humanitarian role played by the WFP despite the difficulties and challenges that the Saudi-led coalition has created in Yemen.

Sharaf praised the efforts made by the WHO’s office, which contributed to alleviating the humanitarian repercussions due to the continuing war and siege imposed by the coalition forces, and its repeated calls for increasing humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people.

Meanwhile, Reda expressed his thanks for the cooperation and support provided by the the National Salvation Government, stressing that his tasks in Yemen met with support and were carried out in partnership with the concerned national authorities.
