STC kidnaps three officials in Socotra

SOCOTRA, Sep. 10 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transition Council (STC) militias kidnapped on Thursday three anti-UAE occupation officials in Socotra Island, according to sources.

The sources stated that the militias kidnapped three local authority officials loyal to the “Hadi government because of their opposition to the Emirati-Israeli presence on the island.

The campaign came within a list including 14 officials, among activists, who called for a protest rally against the Emirati presence in Qalansiyah on last Monday.

Demonstrations and protests in the province against the Emirati occupation increased due to the announce establishing a UAE military base with the Zionist entity on the island.

The STC militias took control of Hadibo city in last June, with the complicity of the Saudi forces, which withdrew from the city entrances.
