Earthquake hits northern Iran
SANAA, Sept. 7 (YPA) – An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit on Monday the suburbs of Ramyan, in the northern Iranian province of Golestan.
According to the “IRNA” agency, the Seismological Center of the Geophysical Institution at the University of Tehran reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 9 km from the surface of the earth, 3 km from Ramyan city, 9 km from Azadshahr and 10 km from Khan Bin.
So far, no reports of damage have been received from the earthquake.
