Clashes between coalition factions renewed in Abyan

ABYAN, Sep. 1 (YPA) – Violating clashes between the Saudi-led aggression coalition factions renewed on Wednesday in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan, sources said.

The sources affirmed that the armed confrontations happened when the Islah militants waged an attack on the UAE-backed Southern transitional Council (STC)’s sites in al-Sheikh Salam and al-Tarih fronts, which caused the cut off the international road between Abyan and Aden province.

The sources confirmed that the Islah Party pushed dozens of militants to take over al-Tarih front across the coast in an attempt to advance towards the city of Aden.

Additionally, the confrontations caused human losses among the Islah militants and destroyed a number of military vehicles.
