Dozens of houses collapsed due to continued heavy rains in Ibb

IBB, Aug. 27 (YPA) – About 100 houses have been collapsed due to continued heavy rains in two villages in Ibb governorate, central Yemen, for the past two days.

The sources confirmed that more than 127 families had been permanently displaced from the two villages, after sand slips and cracks had occurred in their homes, which helped preventing human casualties due to the landslides.

A number of Yemeni governorates have witnessed unprecedented torrential rains, which causing great damage to displaced hundreds of families and collapse their homes in Sanaa, Ibb and al-Mahweet.
