Sanaa forces capture emir of ISIS in Bayda

BAYDA, Aug. 18 (YPA) – The Yemeni army and the popular committees on Tuesday managed to arrest an emir of ISIS in an ambush in al-Dhahra area in Qayfa district of Bayda province, according to local sources.

The army forces’ ambush led to the arrest of the ISIS emir called “Salem Hassan al-Sa’imi” and 40 of the organization members, the sources explained.

On Monday, the army forces and the popular committees managed to cleanse the areas of Hamat Awaja and Hamat laqah from the ISIS terrorist elements.
