Marib witnesses intense military deployment, as army approach city

MARIB, Aug. 15 (YPA) – Marib city, north-east of the capital Sanaa, witnessed on Friday evening an intensive military deployment of Islah Party’s militias and Saudi-led coalition forces, as the Yemeni army forces and the popular committees approach the city.

Local sources in Marib province said “The coalition forces deployed many armored vehicles and military vehicles in the main streets of the city of Marib, especially the streets and neighborhoods surrounding the government complex.”

The sources added that the coalition forces and the Islah militia launched a campaign of arrests targeting everyone wandering in those streets.

The forces of the so-called “Military Police” and the Islah militia raided the city’s hotels and arrested a number of inmates, according the sources.
