Parliament Speaker affirms Yemen’s solidarity with Lebanese people

SANAA, Aug. 8 (YPA) – Speaker of Parliament, Yahya Ali Al-Raee, affirmed on Saturday the whole solidarity of Yemen with the brotherly Lebanese people in confrontation the disastrous repercussions as a result of explosion that hit Beirut port of and killed dozens of citizens.

The move came during a phone call with his Lebanese counterpart, Nabih Berri, to express the Yemeni people’s sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and a speedy recovery for the wounded.

In the phone call, al-Raee stressed on the importance of mobilizing all efforts by parliaments of the world to provide urgent aid to the brotherly Lebanese people, in order to enable it to overcome the disaster and to urge states, governments and international organizations to carry out their humanitarian duty.

Meanwhile, Berri praised the great position of Yemen, the leadership, parliament, government and its people in the solidarity with the Lebanese people in the various circumstances that the Lebanese people are going through, wishing Yemen to get out of its crisis, stop the war and end the siege, and prevailing the security and stability throughout Yemen.
