Citizen shot dead in Lahj

LAHJ, Aug. 8 (YPA) – A citizen was killed on Saturday by tribal gunmen in Lahj province, southern Yemen.

Local sources in the province confirmed that the citizen Ahed al-Jashb al-Atwi, who works as a taxi driver, was shot dead by tribal gunmen at al-Wahat junction in al-Sabiha area in Lahj.

The killing of al-Atwi came against a background of a tribal vendetta, and as a result of the security chaos in the southern areas under Saudi-led coalition control.
