Militants cut off main road in Taiz

TAIZ, Aug. 2 (YAP) – The militants of the 35 brigade loyal to UAE on Sunday cut off the main road in Taiz province, sources said.

The sources affirmed the main road linking the cities of Taiz and Al-Turbah, was cut off in the Al-Nashama area, Ma’afir district, southwest of Taiz.

The road blocking came against the background of their refusal to appoint Abd al-Rahman al-Shamsani as commander of the 35 brigade in lieu of Brigadier al-Hammadi, who was assassinated in early December 2019, the sources said.
