SANAA, July 27 (YPA) – Members of the Education Committee of the Shura Council on Monday stressed the need to develop curricula to keep pace with scientific and cognitive developments.
During a meeting held at the Ministry of Education and co-chaired by Speaker of the Shura Council Mohammed al-Aidarous and Minister of Education Yahya Badr al-Din Al-Houthi, the Committee members emphasized also on the importance of inculcating the values of right, justice and equality in the students who the country is counting on to advance the country future.
In the meeting, al-Aidarous called for reconsidering the school map and forming it according to the reality and available potentials, noting to the importance of monitoring the performance of private schools, which have become an important educational role.
For his part, the Minister of Education praised the visit of the Shura Speaker and the members of the Education Committee of the Council and their positive interaction with the Ministry’s efforts to update and develop its programs and systems to keep pace with technological developments in the educational process.
