Member of Local Council escapes assassination attempt in Lahj

LAHJ, July 25 (YPA) – A member of local council escaped on Saturday an assassination attempt carried out by unknown persons in Lahj province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources said that the unknown people threw a hand bomb at home of Sabir al-Absi in al-Milah district.

The sources also revealed that the incident resulted in the wounding of al-Absi’s nephew, who was seriously injured and was subsequently transferred to Doctors Without Borders Hospital in Aden province.
