HAJJAH, July 25 (YPA) – The Director of the branch of Supreme Council for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Hajjah province said on Saturday that a field team from the council visited the affected families today and examined the extent of the damage that affected the housing and property of citizens in the region and the nature of urgent needs that should be provided to the displaced from their homes.
He stressed that the torrential rains washed away the homes and properties of 50 families in al-Lawha area and they became homeless.
In a statement, the council called on humanitarian partners to provide relief to families affected by the torrential rains in Bani Qais district.
The director Alan Fadhail, appealed to the organizations to urgently respond to the affected people and provide them with relief materials.
He also pointed out that heavy rains continuation and flow of torrents floods during this period, threatening many families living in valleys and coastal areas, and most of them live in nests and tents, confirming the need for humanitarian organizations to support the Council’s efforts in this regard.
