Over 367 persons arrested on charges of crimes in capital of Sanaa

SANAA, May 12 (YPA) – The security services in the capital Sanaa have arrested 376 people on charges of various crimes during the first week of this month, a security official told Yemen Press Agency.

The official said that 351 convicted on over of 294 cases in addition to 12 others wanted under judicial and parliamentary orders were arrested.

He noted that during the same period, the security forces in the capital arrested a gang consisting of four accused of the crime, indicating that they have a criminal record in 16 cases of robbery.

Two stolen cars were recovered and returned to their owners, the official said.

The official pointed out that the security forces in April achieved a high level of controls by up to 89 percent, and were able to recover six stolen cars.

He confirmed that the security services made great security achievements in the capitals demonstrate the level of loyalty, sense of responsibility and efficiency they have.
