SANAA, July 11 (YPA) – Three children were killed and two others were injured in an explosive device explosion on Saturday in Zabul province in southern Afghanistan, according to the Afghan news agency “Khama Press.”
The Atal 205th Corps said in a statement that the terrorists had planted an improvised explosive device on a roadside in the city of Qala, the capital of Zabul province.
The statement added that the terrorists planted the roadside bomb to target the Afghan National Security and Defense Forces.
However, the Atal 205th Corps reported that the explosion killed three children and wounded two others, who were subsequently transferred to health facilities by the security forces.
Anti-government armed movements, including the Taliban, have not commented on the incident so far.
The Taliban and other armed groups often use IEDs to target security forces, but most of these attacks result in civilian casualties.
