Human rights organization reveals 4 UAE-run secret prisons in Aden

SANAA, July 4 (YPA) – Head of al-Rasad Organization for Human Rights and the coordinator of international organizations Anis Al-Sharik in Aden city, revealed four illegal secret prisons run by the UAE in the occupied city of Aden.

Al-Sharik tweeted that the prisons have used to practice forms of torture, enforced disappearance and illegal arrests against prisoners, detainees and innocent citizens.
The move came during his response to the Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s denial about secret prisons in Aden city for illegal arrests and torture.

He affirmed that many detainees and enforced disappearances in these secret prisons died because of torture, demanding the STC to close jails and release detainees.
