Gunmen assassinate citizen in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, May 11 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen killed a citizen in Hadramout province on Thursday night, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The gunmen opened fire at Abdu Moqbil bin Kadda al-Katheri on the highway in Shibam Hadramout district and fled.

The armed groups are spreading in the district, in a full absence of the security services and the closure of the police station in the city for nearly two years.

The districts of Hadramout Valley are witnessing dozens of assassinations, amid the increasing of local demands to hand over the First Military Region to local elite forces loyal to UAE occupation forces and drive out forces loyal to the northern general Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar.
