SANAA, June 17 (YPA) – The Yemeni Media Union (YMU) on Tuesday strongly condemned detention of oil derivatives vessels by Saudi-led aggression coalition Alliance, the tightening of blockade and worsening of economic conditions.
In a statement obtained by the Official News Agency of Yemen (Saba), the Union noted that these arbitrary measures, which were carried out by the Saudi-led Aggression, are furthering the suffering of the Yemeni people as the world stands united in the face of the Corona pandemic, providing health care and rescue requirements.
The Union stressed that the continued detention of oil derivatives ships and their prevention from unloading their cargo in Hodeidah ports, reveals the brutality targeting the daily movement of citizens, institutions and service sectors, including the media sector, which has been negatively affected by the level of institutions and workers.
The statement called on the international community to pay attention to the humanitarian aspect in Yemen, and work hard to lift the blockade, stop the aggression and allow the flow of commercial shipments and humanitarian assistance, particularly pharmaceuticals, and related to the confrontation with Corona virus.
