Ex-prime minister of resigned Hadi denies news over renting Socotra to UAE

SANAA, May 9 (YPA) – Former Prime Minister of resigned Hadi Khalid Bahah, denied circulated news and reports over renting Socotra Island by him to UAE.

He stressed in a tweet on his twitter’s page the news and reports indicating that he has rent the island to the UAE for 99 years are incorrect.

Al Jazeera announced shortly before, according to Yemeni sources that resigned Hadi postponed a meeting for the fourth time was scheduled to be held with his advisers on the issue of Socotra Island.

The political, military and popular reactions are continuing and mutual accusations between the political and military forces loyal to Saudi-led coalition, on the background of deployment of hundreds of UAE soldiers on the island of Socotra.
